Israeli judgment in Lorde boycott lawsuit can’t be enforced
New Zealand activists wrote an open letter to the singer Lorde when she was planning to come to Israel to do a concert. Many entertainers adopt a policy that they see as inclusive, though it seems more capitalist and greedy to sell more tickets, in my opinion. They, however, believe they are combating evil censorship of their music and that their message will transcend all borders.
Allowing life to go on as usual in an apartheid state, being complicit in that, rightly makes some uncomfortable enough to speak out, like Roger Waters and Brian Eno. Some choose to learn about the area they visit and agree to a moral code that was adopted in the time of apartheid South Africa to pressure the ruling minority to end their brutal subjugation, like Lorde and Lana Del Rey.
Dualing musicians- one supporting Boycott Divest Sanctions responding to another who criticised him for "censorship."
