This Trump administration has been one disaster after another. The pussy grabber in chief - SURPRISE- is enacting policies and choosing people with the same black hole where their integrity should be.
I know it's said that we shouldn't let politics get in the way of family relationships and friendships. Be the bigger person and overlook the differences! Take the high road! That assumes politics are something apart from life, however. Not everyone has that luxury. My medical care is "political" and decided by a group of mostly men. It's everyone's business, apparently, and out of my hands. Will they decree abortions illegal? Will they determine birth control is against their religious freedom and theirs to control?
If you worry more about a man being hassled while getting a promotion more than the woman he attacked, I cannot trust you. You've shown your cards. It's not a choice. If you don't value my existence, I can't come to you if I'm in trouble. That affects personal relationships. If I can't trust you, I can't have much of a relationship with you. If you speak ill of immigrants and other marginalized groups, I as a woman am wondering - so will I get a pass because you know me? Will I be the exception in your ideology because you like me personally or we share DNA?
I would like to be one who "doesn't talk politics" but I guess I'm at a loss for understanding how that happens in a climate where one "side" thinks racism, misogyny and bullying are just personality quirks for people to "just get over."
